Dreams are a funny thing.. I’ve had alot of trouble sleeping lately, waking up every hour or so for no reason so I’ve recounted alot of dreams lately.. The good ones I’ve tried hard to remember.. It’s amazing though some of the similarities that I can recall from dreams. BTW, for those that care the dreams I’ve been having have been kind of like mild nightmares.. They are scary situations but not “Terrifying” situations.. Some of which should have been terrifying but they weren’t… I don’t quite understand it myself..
One of the recurring themes that I have had for probably 5 years or so now involves disney world.. The wierd part is though that I call the place disney world but it is set up more like a carnival with scary roller coasters.. Big Yellow, one of the roller coasters that seems to be the focus of nightmares associated with this place is a loopty loop roller coaster… In this nightmare Laura had decided to ride Big Yellow, which I begged her not to cause she was pregnant.. On top of that, she put matthew at 17 months in the seat in front of us on big yellow.. I spent the entire dream trying to hold matthew in his seat cuase his seat belt didn’t fit. Nothing bad happened but it was definatly a scary dream.
This big yellow disney clone park seems to play a part in a lot of dreams.. There are other coasters in this park.. Some of which are harmless some are terrifying.. The park starts out with a main street and then dumps into the coaster section. Big yellow is on the left in the coaster section in the newly built section of the park. One time I rode big yellow and had the nightmare that it was too close to the ground and my head was going to get ripped off or would hit the people in line.. Beyond Big yellow is the back entrance to the park. I’ve entered through there a few times and have exited through there a few times in my dreams.. At the back exit is a bouncer guy.. and the port -a- potties.. I don’t remember who it was but I got beat up in one nightmare back there..
A more recent dream in a different scenario involves aliens abducted us and knocking us unconcscience with spice from Arrakkis and then sucking out our marrow or blood or something without us even knowing because of their use of spice…

What a great idea.. If you haven’t visited the above link yet, please do. The guy took every playboy centerfold from 1988-1997 and averaged the pictures together to make one photo. So you end up with general idealized form of a centerfold.. Very beatiful, somewhat erotic, and philosophically stimulating when you start to look at it as glimpses of reality…
Programming Bug

Something crawled up my ass and bit me.. I’m calling it the programming bug cause I’ve been trying to get more skillz with the programming right now. So far today I’ve written a simple RSS reader and a Picture Box screen saver…

Police raided three villages Monday near the city of Lae on the north coast and arrested leaders of a “cargo cult” and their followers, the newspaper said. Those arrested were aged between 20 and 70.
Cargo cults believe that Western goods or cargo, first encountered through missionaries and explorers, are created by ancestral spirits. They have been known to build airstrips in the jungles in the belief that planes would land with cargo
Getting back to normal…

Things are starting to get back to normal for me… We have power back at the house, working phone and cable.. And the Boil Water order was even lifted. Still have alot of work to do though. Highest priority is getting Laura’s rear window replaced in her van. It appears no where can get the glass. The earliest appointment we have so far is for November 12th and that’s for double the cost of everywhere else. I did finally order the replacement mirror for your passenger side though.
We also bought a Garden Shed for the patio. Figured we needed someplace to store the generator until the next storm. So next week looks like I will be replacing Laura’s Mirror, building the shed and moving stuff out to it. And sometime I still need to fix the broken post and gate. But I still have no clue how I’m going to handle that.
